Chengpeng zhao

Chengpeng Zhao is currently a PhD student at the Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering, Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources, University College London. His research interest centres on investigating how daylight can be used as a benchmark for electrical lighting and how to use new artificial lighting technologies to support daylight and promote health, comfort and wellbeing in the workplaces. He is particularly interested in the impacts of indoor daytime light exposure on occupants’ circadian entrainment, subjective alertness and mood.
His current research is about comparing the occupants’ acceptance of natural daylight and electrical lighting sources with high correlated color temperature in the office, as well as the correlations between color quality metrics and perceived naturalness and preference.
