Prachi Rampuria

Prachi is co-founder and director at EcoResponsive Environments; an innovative urban design and architectural practice, based in London; winning the 2019 RIBA Re-imagining the Garden City competition. Our mission is to create and co-ordinate designs and implementation strategies, at all scales from masterplan to details of buildings and outdoor spaces, that support the health and well-being of their current users whilst maintaining the capacity of ecosystem services to support future generations.

It stems from the understanding that ecology is the most pressing concern of our age. It is not ecology verses economy, rather they need to go hand in hand. Ecologically sensitive economies need to be crafted for sustainable futures.

Prachi has previously led multi-disciplinary teams on complex and prestigious international projects of different scales and typologies in the UK, Middle-East, India, Cuba and Azerbaijan. She is a visiting lecturer at Oxford Brookes University for the MA in Urban Design course, and is co-authoring a book called ‘EcoResponsive Environments’ to be published by Routledge in 2021.
