20’s Plenty for Us / Exhibition partner

20’s Plenty for Us was set up in 2007 in order to assist communities wanting lower speeds and speed limits. With a focus on the single issue of campaigning for 20mph limits for most roads across a complete local authority, it now has 430 local campaigns in UK, Ireland, USA, Canada and Australia. It empowers local campaigns, acting as a catalyst for communities to change their speed limits. It has been influential in transport thinking and guidance on the use and benefits of 20mph limits. 20’s Plenty is not-for-profit with a small core team, but thousands of volunteers campaigning to make their places better places to be.

20’s Plenty has also engaged with many of the places implementing wide-area 20mph limits which now include the majority of the UK’s largest 40 urban authorities, 80% of Inner London Boroughs and now the Welsh Government is setting a national urban default limit of 20mph. In 2017 20’s Plenty worked with the World Health Organisation on developing a Slow Down Day Toolkit for UN Global Road Safety Week which was used in over 1,000 campaigning events around the world. In metric countries it uses the name “Love 30”
